My name is Natalia, I was born in Ukraine but grew up in Germany as a child of Ukrainian parents. In the summer of 2013, I decided to move to Ukraine, the land of my parents and ancestors. I could not have guessed that half a year later Ukraine was about to face the biggest changes in its still young independent statehood.
But that’s exactly how it happened. The rest is almost history, although people in the east of the country are the victims of an armed conflict. But away from the battlefield, life goes on. Great changes of a political, economic and social nature are pending or have already occurred. What makes Ukraine so special, how does it live in this country, what distinguishes Ukrainians from the rest of Europe? These are just a few questions that this blog would like to answer based on my personal experience. Of course, highly subjective, but I would like to share it with people who are interested in Ukraine, so I write it down and publish my experiences in this wonderful country in transition.
